Visiting the vet can be an anxious time for both our furry patients and their owners. We want to provide you with as much information as we can to put you at ease and make your visit as stress-free as possible. Here you will find information on what to do if and when you do need to visit us at Wynnum Manly Vet Hospital.

Please give us a call today on

Pet care open 7 days
SEEING A VET

The best way to see one of our vets is to book an appointment. This cuts down on your wait time and allows our vets to perform a full examination and treatment of your pet. Appointments can be made for a specific vet (especially for follow-up appointments) or on a next available basis.
EMERGENCIES

We understand that urgent matters do not run to schedule. As such, emergency services are available anytime during business hours. Should you need service out-of-hours, we refer our patients to the Animal Emergency Service on the corner of Lexington and Logan Roads in Underwood.

SURGERY

Non-emergency surgery (for example elective surgery) can be scheduled Monday through Friday. Appointments can be booked several days in advance over the phone. Your pet is discharged once we are satisfied that sedation or anaesthesia has worn off. This may mean your pet stays the night in one of our comfy kennel beds. Unlike elective surgery, emergency surgeries can be handled during any business hours (including weekends).
VISITATIONS

Visits for your pet in the hospital can be scheduled for times when it will be beneficial to your furry companion. This will be specific to each patient, so please consult the veterinarian in charge of your pet's case before arranging a visit.

Please have all dogs on a lead and cats secure in a box or basket when visiting the hospital. If you are in need of a lead or carrier, they can be purchased or borrowed from reception. This is for the safety of all pets on premises.

If you are unable to visit the hospital itself, a home visit can be arranged. A fee may be charged to cover travel time and expenses.
